Setting up a Google alert for your  name is a simple and quick task. It is free to do and after you have set it up you can basically forget about it. When Google finds any new mention of your name online you will be notified. If you have never done this before, just follow the steps below to get it set up in only a few minutes.

First, you need to go to Google’s Alerts page. Here is the link www.google.com/alerts

Once here make sure that the settings are as follows:

Search Query: Enter your name in quotes. For example, “Public Eye Marketing”.
Result type: Everything
How often: As-it-happens
How many: All results
Deliver to: Enter your email address here

Then just click the Create Alert button
